Sound of Freedom (2023)

Sound of Freedom. An American drama film. Directed by Alejandro Monteverde. Starring Jim Caviezel.

It depicts the man who struggle to rescue a girl smuggled to the United States from a South American country.

The human trafficking syndicate and pedophiles were really hideous. A child abduction would not be awful if the payment of ransom would work out, however, it is a devilish deed if it leads to sexual commodification. Although black people were liberated in the United States, yet enslaving smuggled children seems to be rampant. What a sad reality. I got gloomy about the fact that the actual state of child abduction had never changed since the time when Man on Fire was released.

I felt that it was surely overdone to let people see the film for fee and send a message like grandstanding on the credits, though an ambitious person's bluff is not so bad if it is a good will. I suspect that people criticizing the movie might be pedophiles.

サウンド・オブ・フリーダム（2023）

『サウンド・オブ・フリーダム』。アメリカのドラマ映画。アレハンドロ・モンテベルデ監督作。主演はジム・カヴィーゼル。

南アメリカのある国からアメリカへ密輸入された少女を救うべく奮闘するある男の物語。

人身売買組織と小児性愛者の存在がおぞましい。幼児誘拐は、身代金で解決するならまだしも、性の商品化につながるとなると鬼畜の所業だ。アメリカでは、黒人は解放されたが、密輸入された児童の奴隷化が蔓延っているらしい。哀しい現実だ。2004年に公開された『マイ・ボディガード』の頃と小児誘拐の実態がそれほど変わっていないという現状にも暗澹となった。

無料で映画を観賞できるサービスやエンドロールでのスタンドプレイのようなメッセージは確かにやり過ぎの感はあるが、野心家のハッタリはそれが善意であればそれほど悪いものでも無い。本作を批判する人は小児性愛者かもと疑ってしまう。

Tom and Jerry (2021)

Tom and Jerry. An American comedy. Directed by Tim Story. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz.

It follows a young girl who starts to work at a hotel.

Tom and Jerry appear as animation characters in the live-action film, which looked to be odd, however, the lead, Chloë Grace Moretz, was really cute through.

Chloë as well as Elle Fanning has been adorable since she was a child actor. She recently came out as a gay woman criticizing Donald John Trump who are negative about LDGT. I have admiration for her courage.

Trump will be the next president of the United States despite her wish. What will the world be like in the future.

トムとジェリー（2021）

『トムとジェリー』。アメリカのコメディ。ティム・ストーリー監督作。主演はクロエ・グレース・モレッツ。

ホテルで働き始めた、ある若い女性のお話。

実写映画にアニメのキャラクターのままの姿で出演しているトムとジェリーには違和感を覚えたが、主人公を演じたクロエ・グレース・モレッツは終始可愛らしかった。

エル・ファニングと同様に子役の頃からずっと可愛らしいクロエ。最近、性的マイノリティに否定的なトランプを批判しつつ、ゲイである事を告白。その勇気は称えたいと思う。

彼女の意に反してトランプが大統領になる。今後、世界はどうなっていくのだろう。

Man on Fire (2004)

Man on Fire. An American suspense film. Directed by Tony Scott. Starring Denzel Washington. Dakota Fanning acted in it.

It depicts the friendship with the age gap between a girl and her hired bodyguard.

I came to like to see the film again after I did The Equalize 3 in which Washington co-starred with Fanning for the first time in nineteen years.

Dakota was really lovable around the age of ten. She appeared as a woman looking to be a tough American woman in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I knew about it after seeing the movie and was very surprised because her little sister, Elle, was still cute even if she grew up. Child stars vary.

The crime suspense film seriously portrays the actual state of child kidnapping at that time. Denzel was brilliant. He sharply moved in the action scenes and gave a cool act. 

マイ・ボディガード（2004）

『マイ・ボディガード』。アメリカのサスペンス映画。トニー・スコット監督作。主演はデンゼル・ワシントン。ダコタ・ファニング出演。

少女と彼女を守るために雇われたボディガードとの歳の差を超えた友情。

デンゼルとダコタが19年ぶりに再共演した『イコライザー THE FINAL』を観てまた観たくなった。

本作の頃のダコタは本当に可愛らしい。2019年公開の『ワンス・アポン・ア・タイム・イン・ハリウッド』では気の強そうなアメリカ女になっていた。観覧後にそれに気づいた時は、妹のエル・ファニングは大人になっても可愛らしいままなだけに、余計にびっくりした。子役も様々だ。

公開時のメキシコでの幼児誘拐の実態がシリアスに描かれた、デンゼルのクールな演技とシャープなアクションが冴えたなかなかのクライム・サスペンス。

Living in Two Worlds (2024)

Living in Two Worlds. A Japanese drama film. Directed by Mipo O. Starring Ryo Yoshizawa and Akiko Oshidari.

The film is based on a true story, about the love and bond between a son and his mother and filled with affection for the mother by the son.

It seemed to make a CODA boy talk about a typical story of a boy who goes bad depending his parents and gradually comes to appreciate them, however, I was deeply impressed toward the ending by the beautiful mind of Akiko, his deaf mother, that was highlighted by how uncool the protagonist, played by the handsome Ryo Yoshizawa, was. The smile of Akiko Oshidari playing the mother was also pretty.

ぼくが生きてる、ふたつの世界（2024）

『ぼくが生きてる、ふたつの世界』。日本のドラマ映画。呉美保監督作。主演は吉沢亮と忍足亜希子。

息子の母への想いが詰まった実話ならではの絆と愛の物語。

親に甘えてグレつつも次第に彼らの有難みを知るというありきたりな話をコーダの青年に語らせているだけに見えたが、美青年、吉沢亮演じる主人公、大のダサさが際立たせていた、ろうあ者である彼の母、明子の心の美しさに終盤で胸が締め付けられた。明子を演じた忍足亜希子の笑顔もまた美しかった。

Civil War (2024)

Civil War. An American thriller film. Directed by Alex Garland. Starring Kirsten Dunst.

The film tells the story of a young war photographer's growth. Although she gets terrified by odiousness in the battlefield and even vomits, yet she finally comes awake at the last minute. Her youthful and daring photography chilled me.

The lead, Kirsten Dunst, looked to be the most pretty in her life despite her age.

The tragicomedy of the United States, the big customer of the merchant of death, which has wars not only globally but also domestically. It made me remember the existence of the military-industrial complex which is said to be the mastermind behind the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It might have a profound meaning, though I could not feel it.

Osaka rebels would entice Nagoya and Fukuoka ones to revolt against Tokyo when a civil war occurs in Japan. However, there are no key materials, war weapons. If they drew the Self-Defense Forces of Japan into it, American troops stationed in Japan would notice and easily scrapped it, moreover, they might drop the third atomic bomb in the end. I hope that nobody will launch a coup.

シビル・ウォー（2024）

『シビル・ウォー アメリカ最後の日』。アメリカのスリラー映画。アレックス・ガーランド監督作。主演はキルスティン・ダンスト。

新人戦場カメラマンの成長譚。現場のおぞましさに怯えて嘔吐までするも土壇場で覚醒。若さゆえの恐れ知らずな激写に戦慄が走った。

主演のキルスティン・ダンストは、年取ったけど今が一番美しいかも、と思えるほど綺麗に見えた。

国外だけではなく国内でも戦争を始める、死の商人のお得意先アメリカの悲喜劇。どうしてもケネディ暗殺の黒幕とも言われている軍産複合体の存在が頭にちらついてしまった。何か深い意味があったのかもしれないが、私には感じとれなかった。

日本で内戦が起きるとしたら、大阪が名古屋と福岡を唆して東京に攻め入るのかな。だが、肝心の武器が無い。自衛隊を引き込んだとしても在日米軍にばれて簡単に潰されて挙句の果てには３発目の原発を落とされる目に遭うかもしれない。クーデターなんか起きて欲しくない。

Happyend (2024)

Happyend. The coming-of-age film is a Japan-U.S. co-production. Directed by Neo Sora. Starring Hayato Kurihara and Yukito Hidaka.

A case reminiscent of Scent of Woman occurs at a Japanese high school in the near future.

All of the actors are fresh and no one seems to be cast by pressure from the outside. More international students attend the school than today, so the class looked to be new, however, it was a common coming-of-age one. The students defy the adults getting used to the society, which is a familiar sight in the kind of movie, all the same, it looked to be comfortable, though I deep down thought that the young people should remember that they live off their parents' support. The shallow Yuta shows a manly spirit toward the ending, which made me lightly feel catharsis.

HAPPYEND（2024）

HAPPYEND。日米合作の青春映画。空音央監督作。主演は栗原颯人と日高由起刀。

近未来の日本の高校で、『セント・オブ・ウーマン/夢の香り』を彷彿とさせる、ある事件が起きる。

どこからかのゴリ押しで出演できていそうなタレントが皆無の爽やかなキャスト。外国籍の学生が多くて新鮮だが、普通の青春物。よくありがちな場面であるものの、社会に飼い慣らされた大人たちに若者たちが歯向かう姿は、脛齧りのくせに！と思いつつも微笑ましい。そして、ヘラヘラしていたユウタが終盤に見せる漢気の軽妙なカタルシスが沁みた。

Horizon Line (2020)

Horizon Line. A Swedish and American panic film. Directed by Mikael Marcimain. Starring Allison Williams. Alexander Dreymon acted in it.

It follows a former couple who accidentally board a small plane to attend their common friends' wedding ceremony. The pilot suddenly dies of a heart attack while flying it, so the former couple tries hard to coordinate with each other to survive the crisis.

I hesitated to see it for a long time because the Japanese title is like a cartoon's one, however, I watch it because it lasts just 92 minutes.

It was far more entertaining than expected, moreover, it was not only a panic movie but also a good romance. After seeing it, I knew that the two actors who played the former couple in it got married and had a baby after the release. The fact made me feel that I kept on listening to their sweet stories on and on.

元カレとツイラクだけは（2020）

『元カレとツイラクだけは絶対に避けたい件』。スウェーデンとアメリカ合作のパニック映画。ミカエル・マルシメーン監督作。主演はアリソン・ウィリアムズ。アレクサンダー・ドレイン出演。

元カップルが共通の友人の結婚式に出席するため偶然小型飛行機に搭乗するも、その操縦士が心臓発作で急死してしまい、生き延びるために二人で必死に協力しあうお話。

邦題が漫画っぽいのでずっと敬遠していたが、たったの92分だったので観てみた。

想像以上に面白かった。パニック映画であると同時になかなかの恋愛映画。劇中の元カップルを演じた役者たちは公開後に結婚して子を儲けている、という事を知った時は彼らのノロケ話を延々と聞かされた気分になった。

A Samurai in Time (2024)

A Samurai in Time. A Japanese drama film. Directed by Junichi Yasuda. Starring Makiya Yamaguchi.

It follows a samurai man who is transported from a time in the last days of the Tokugawa shogunate into the present time in Kyoto, Japan, and starts actively to work as a samurai drama actor.

Although I do not like time-slip films and I have heard that a human might be able to slip back in time to a past but cannot be transported into the future, yet I watched it because film fans loved it.

It kind of entertained me for a low-budget film from the beginning to the middle but thrilled me after another samurai man shows up and until it ends.

Contrition for a slash to kill his enemy. Tragedy striking his compatriots. The feud between Aizu and Choshu.

As if a real time traveler advised the director first hand, the samurai men's ideas, acts and way of life were realistic, which touched me. I felt that the film is a homage to not samurai dramas but samurai.

侍タイムスリッパ―（2024）

『侍タイムスリッパ―』。日本のドラマ映画。安田淳一監督作。主演は山口馬木也。

幕末の侍が現代の京都にタイムスリップして時代劇の俳優として活躍するお話。

タイムスリップ物は好きではないし、現在からは、過去には行けても未来には行けないと言われているが、大好評だったので観てみた。

序盤から中盤にかけては、低予算の割には面白いな、と思った程度だったが、もう一人の侍が現れてから最後まで惹き込まれ続けた。

斬殺への悔恨。同胞の悲劇。会津と長州の確執。

本物のタイムスリッパーが監督に直接アドバイスしていたのでは、と思えるほど侍たちの考え方、処し方、生き方がリアルで、それらにシビれた。時代劇というより侍へのオマージュに感じた。

The Equalizer 3 (2023)

The Equalizer 3. An American action-crime movie. Directed by Antoine Fuqua. Starring Denzel Washington. Dakota Fanning acted in it.

The movie is the third one of the The Equalizer series. Robert McCall is overwhelmingly strong murdering all the villains. Unlike John Wick, he will not be never wounded. The aura of Denzel makes me feel that McCall's unrealistic strength to be realistic. He slays only evil persons, so I will never feel sad that the persons die. I can also do catharsis from his moral slaughter show. I enjoyed to watch it as usual.

Dakota Fanning had co-starred with Denzel in Man on Fire when she was a child actor. I was overflowing with emotion when her adult face was overlapping with her young face in the 2004 film in the final stage scene where she and Denzel are alone in a room. However, honestly, I wanted to see the reunion between Denzel and Chloë Grace Moretz who had done with him in the first movie of the series. 

イコライザー THE FINAL（2023）

『イコライザー　THE FINAL』。アメリカのアクション・クライム映画。アントワーン・フークア監督作。デンゼル・ワシントン主演。ダコタ・ファニング出演。

『イコライザー』シリーズの３作目。その圧倒的な強さで、ジョン・ウィックとは違って怪我もせず、悪者を皆殺しにするマッコール。非現実的な強さだが、演じるデンゼルの佇まいがそれをリアルに感じさせてくれる。極悪者しか殺さないので人が死ぬという悲しみの感情も全く湧いてこない。カタルシスも感じられる勧善懲悪の殺人ショーだ。本作も面白かった。

子役時代にデンゼルと『マイ・ボディーガード』で共演したダコタ・ファニングも出演。大人の彼女の顔が、終盤のデンゼルとある部屋で二人だけになった場面で子役時代の表情と重なった時、感慨深くなった。だが、正直、シリーズ１作目で共演していたクロエ・グレース・モレッツとの再会を観たかった。

A Girl Named Ann (2024)

A Girl Named Ann. A Japanese drama film. Directed by Yu Irie. Starring Yuumi Kawai.

There are an equal number of nasty parents and unfortunate children. Too obedient children are especially sad because they need a long time to remove their parents' brainwashing. Adults with a secret intention pretend to be righteous and approach such children. The conditions are ugly and cruel. The film depicts the tragic reality, which was hard for me to watch. I felt comfortable only when the fragile Yuumi Kawai as Ann smiles occasionally. 

Drug addicts are said to never commit suicide. They seem to live a pleasure hell.

The role of Goro Inagaki might be suitable for a still unknown actor who are waiting for a chance.

Thinking the ending, it was more tragic than Ichiko. I do not want to believe that it is based on a true story. 

あんのこと（2024）

『あんのこと』。日本のドラマ映画。入江悠監督作。主演は河合優実。

下衆な父母の数だけ不幸な児童がいる。親の洗脳から解放されるのに時間がかかる素直すぎる子が特に哀しい。そんな彼らに下心を持つ大人が善人面して近づいてくる。醜悪で残酷な世界だ。そんな悲惨な現実が描かれた本作は観てて辛かった。救いは儚げな主役の河合優実が時折見せた笑顔。

薬物常習者は自殺をしないらしい。快楽地獄だな。

稲垣吾郎の役はチャンスを待っているまだ売れていない役者でよかったのでは。

ラストを思うと『市子』以上の悲劇だ。実話だとは信じたくない。

The Equalizer 2 (2018)

The Equalizer 2. An American action thriller movie. Directed by Antoine Fuqua. Starring Denzel Washington.

It follows Robert McCall who is a former quite competent agent at a U.S. intelligence agency. He works as a taxi driver but eliminates the villains. 

I was sad to watch some of the intelligence agents losing their morals after they faithfully kept carrying out their missions of eliminating their enemies. At the same time, I thought that it was hard to keep on doing the right thing. All the same, McCall have continued to do the right things. He rescued a young man who became friendly with him and were almost forced to join a gang.

Bill Pullman appeared in it following the prequel. He had an innocent smile as usual for his age. Denzel as MaCall sharply moved in combat as always.

 

イコライザー２（2018）

 『イコライザー２』。アメリカのアクション・ドラマ。アントワーン・フークア監督作。主演はデンゼル・ワシントン。

元情報機関の凄腕工作員であるマッコールが、前作とは違って、タクシー運転手をしながら悪党達を始末するお話。

任務を忠実に遂行して殺人を重ねてきた情報機関の工作員の倫理観が壊れる様が哀しい。だが、正義を貫き続けるのもしんどい事なのだろう。 それでも、マッコールは正義を貫き通し続けて、不良グループに引き込まれそうになっていた、個人的に親しくなった青年をも救い出す。

前作同様、ビル・プルマンが出演。いい年なのに相変わらず人の良さそうな笑顔を見せていた。そして、デンゼルの戦闘時の動きもまた相変わらず鋭い。

Chips (2012)

Chips. A Japanese drama. Directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura.

Not only Fumino Kimura but also Mayu Matsuoka acted in it, so I had wanted to see it for a long time. I watched it. Kimura has been pretty since the time. I was amused by Nao Omori who played a man behaving like a psychopath. I felted that it was dated for a film released 12 years ago. The lead Gaku Hamada was charming but did not leave a deep impression on me.

ポテチ（2012）

『ポテチ』。日本のドラマ映画。中村義洋監督作。原作は伊坂幸太郎。

木村文乃だけでなく松岡茉優まで出演しているのでずっと気になっていて、観てみた。木村文乃はこの頃からお綺麗だ。大森南朋が演じていた男のサイコパスぶりが可笑しかった。12年前の作品。少し古く感じた。主演の濱田岳はチャーミングだが、印象薄め。

The Equalizer (2014)

The Equalizer. An American action thriller movie. Directed by Antoine Fuqua. Starring Denzel Washington. Chloë Grace Moretz acted in it. 

It follows Robert McCall who used to be a competent agent for a U.S. intelligence organ and is a regular customer at a dinner where he meets with a young whore named Alina. He is saddened to hear that she is in a plight and decides to fight against the villains for her.

Denzel Washington as McCall was 59 years old at the release. He was surprisingly agile for his age, had a substantial presence and played a perfect killer. I prefer him to John Wick. Chloë Grace Moretz as Alina was really cute and gave a wonderful act.

It was kind of serious for an action movie.

アメリカの情報機関の凄腕エージェントだった過去を持つマッコールが、彼の行きつけの飲食店で出会った若い娼婦アリーナの不遇を悲しみ、彼女の為に悪党達と戦う物語。

マッコール役のデンゼル・ワシントンは公開時59歳。歳を考えると、体の切れが驚異的だ。存在感も半端無い。殺し屋としても完璧だった。ジョン・ウィックよりも好きだ。そして、アリーナ役のクロエ・グレース・モレッツが可愛らしすぎて演技も素晴らしかった。

アクション映画だけど割とシリアス。

My Sunshine (2024)

My Sunshine. A Japanese drama film. Directed by Hiroshi Okuyama. Starring Keitatsu Koshiyama. Sousuke Ikematsu acted in it.

A girl named Sakura has practiced figure skating with a glum expression on her face until she does ice dancing with Takuya, a purely humble boy with a stammer. She begins naturally to smile and be friendly with her coach, however, she knows a fact. A feeling of strangeness is transformed into an aversion. A jealousy. A misunderstanding.

A really sad story. The playing catch was very meaningful but casual, which made me sorrowful. I also thought that the Cannes Film Festival audience like the kind of film.

ぼくのお日さま（2024）

『ぼくのお日さま』。日本のドラマ映画。奥山大史監督作。主演は越山敬達。池松壮亮出演。

フィギュアスケートの稽古中に何かがひっかかって浮かない表情を見せていた少女さくら。生意気さの全く無い純真で愛らしい吃音症の少年タクヤとアイスダンスをするようになり自然と笑顔がこぼれ出してコーチとも打ち解け始めるが、ある事実を知る。違和感から嫌悪感。嫉妬。誤解。

哀しすぎるお話。意味のあり過ぎる何気ないキャッチボールに心がえぐられた。

カンヌってこういうお話が好きだねえ、とも思った。

Inside Man (2006)

Inside Man. An American crime suspense film. Directed by Spike Lee. Starring Denzel Washington.

The story had been too difficult to understand when I saw the film for the first time, however, I could enjoy to do it and had fun when I did it again. Moreover, I felt that Jodie Foster was still pretty, though I had done that she got old when I first did it.

How I feel about a film change up to the age when I watch it.  

インサイド・マン（2006）

『インサイド・マン』。アメリカのクライム・サスペンス。スパイク・リー監督作。主演はデンゼル・ワシントン。

初めて観た時は難しく感じて理解できなかった。だが、再観賞時は楽しめた。面白かった。また、ジョディ・フォスターおばちゃんになったな、と前回は感じたが、２回目は、まだ綺麗じゃん、と思った。

観る時の年齢で作品の見方も変わる。

The Blood of Wolves (2018)

The Blood of Wolves. A Japanese crime film. Directed by Kazuya Shiraishi. Based on the book with the same name written by Yuzuki Yuko. Starring Koji Yakusho and Tori Matsuzaka.

Yakuza movies are not my favorite. I saw the movie because the protagonists are police detectives, however, it told a story of yakuza. I wonder if the police associate with the gang at the highest levels even now.

The yakuza forces some men eat the pig excrement. The atrocities froze my blood. I was also surprised by the fact that a woman wrote the story. Then the truth was ridiculous.

Koji Yakusho's presence was wonderful. Tomoya Nakamura has now become a popular actor, so I was amused that he played a cheap punk in it.

虎狼の血（2018）

『虎狼の血』。日本の犯罪映画。白石和彌監督作。原作は柚月裕子の同名小説。主演は役所広司と松坂桃李。

暴力団物は好きではないが、刑事が主役なので観てみた。しかし、もろヤクザ映画だった。警察と暴力団は今も上ではつながっているのだろうか。

豚の糞を食わせるやくざたちの蛮行には肝が冷えた。この映画の原作が女性であることにも驚いた。そして、物語の真実が間抜けすぎた。

役所広司の存在感が素晴らしい。今や人気俳優の中村倫也のちんけなチンピラぶりも面白い。

The Hurt Locker (2008)

The Hurt Locker. An American war film. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow. Starring Jeremy Renner.

The film depicts the activities of a U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team in the Iraq War.

Although the pictures were tense and continuously drew me, yet I thought of it as common, so after watching it I was surprised with the fact that it won six Oscars in 2010. It would have resonated with American people because they were directly involved with the war. I was also done that the director is a woman. I admired her for superbly filming the manly world. Masculine women exist. So do feminine men. I noticed that film directors need not be male. 

ハート・ロッカー（2008）

『ハート・ロッカー』。アメリカの戦争映画。キャスリン・ビグロー監督作。主演はジェレミー・レナ―。

イラク戦争中のアメリカ軍危険物処理班の活躍が描かれている。

緊迫感あふれる映像に終始魅せられたが、それ以外は普通の戦争映画に思えた。だから、観賞後、アカデミー賞を６部門受賞していることに驚いた。戦争の当事者だったアメリカ人には心に響いたということか。だが、さらに驚いたのは、監督が女性だった事。あの男臭い世界をよくぞ描けたと感心した。男勝りの女性はいる。弱弱しい男もいる。監督が男でなければいけないというのは無いんだろうな。

Stare (2020)

Stare. A Japanese horror movie. Directed by Hirotaka Adachi.

My favorite actor Marie Iitoyo starred in it, so I watched it. She was lovely. I was sometimes frightened by the gruesome ghosts, however, that was all, moreover, I thought that I should not amusedly hear a scary story.

Ghosts in pictures are imaginary things, so they are not frightening that much, though I am briefly scared because I am a coward. I sort of believe stories of a curse and anathema, all the same, I do not like them and I do not want to think about them because they are creepy. You should not see hallucinations if you get a good sleep and rest your brain.  

シライサン（2020）

『シライサン』。日本のホラー。安達寛高監督作。

割と好きな飯豊まりえ主演ということで観てみた。彼女は可愛らしかった。しかし、陰惨な姿の幽霊に何度かビビったが、それだけだった。そして、怖い話って面白がって聴くべきではない、と思った。

映像の中の霊は、誰かの想像物なので、一時的にビビるだけでそこまで怖くは無い。呪いや祟りの話は、多少は信じているが、薄気味悪いし、好きではないし、考えたくもない。しっかり睡眠を取って脳を休ませれば幻覚を見ることも無いはずだ。

Trouble with the Curve (2012)

Trouble with the Curve. An American drama film. Directed by Robert Lorenz. Starring Clint Eastwood.

The story is filled with the love of baseball and of father and daughter. 

Clint Eastwood was amusing as a stubborn old man. Amy Adams was charming as his daughter. The film was quite good as a drama one. However, I thought that there is no way that a talent scout only analyzes data on his computer and never sees players, moreover, I felt that the development was too good to be accept in the last part. It might be okay because it is a film. All the same, I did not like it. I even thought that it would have been better if Clint had directed it.

Chatting with Clint, Scott Eastwood appears in the first part, which made me chuckle. The father and son are in good society.

人生の特等席（2012）

『人生の特等席』。アメリカのドラマ映画。ロバート・ロレンツ監督作。主演はクリント・イーストウッド。

野球愛と父娘愛に満ち溢れた物語。

イーストウッドの頑固爺ぶりが面白くてその娘を演じたエイミー・アダムスもまたチャーミングでなかなかのドラマだったが、パソコンのデータだけを見て選手を実際に見ないスカウトとか本当にいるのかとか思ったりした。最後の展開も出来すぎに感じた。映画だからあれでいいのかもしれないが、私は好きになれなかった。クリントが監督だったらとすら思ってしまった。

序盤でスコット・イーストウッドが父のクリントと喋りながら現れた時は少し笑ってしまった。仲が良い親子だ。

Blue Period (2024)

Blue Period. A Japanese coming-of-age film. Directed by Kentaro Hagiwara. An adaptation of the comic book with the same name portrayed by Tsubasa Yamaguchi. Starring Gordon Maeda.

The film depicts the youth of the people who really loves to paint pictures.

I was unfamiliar with painting because I was bad at it, so I got intrigued with the depth of portrayal and the young people's passion for success in the entrance exam of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. I was also fascinated by the quiet style which is not so dramatic and has no cheap romance. I was electrified by how the true friendship develops between the protagonist and his true friends as he becomes enthusiastic for painting.

The tall Gordon Maeda looked good with blonde hair. He had an atmosphere of sorrow, which was awesome and beautiful. He was perfect for a picture. Rihito Itagaki, a diminutive, handsome man, gave a good performance as a young man who has trouble associating with others and looks geek. I was kind of surprised how jealously the man sees pretty satisfied persons because the Itagaki was far different from the Itagaki who I had watched before.

ブルーピリオド（2024）

『ブルーピリオド』。日本の青春映画。萩原健太郎監督作。原作は山口つばさ作の同名漫画。主演は眞栄田郷敦。

絵の魅力に取りつかれた若者たちの青春。

描画の奥深さや彼らの東京藝術大学を目指す情熱は絵心の無い私には興味深くて、それほど劇的ではなくて安っぽいロマンスも無い静かな作風にも魅せられた。主人公の絵画への情熱が高まるにつれて、なれ合いではない真の友人たちと彼と間に生まれた真の友情にもシビれた。

長身で金髪の似合う眞栄田郷敦の憂いのある佇まいがカッコよくて美しかった。絵になる男だ。小柄なイケメン、板垣李光人もコミュ障でおたくっぽい役を好演。リア充を僻んだ目で見る様が私の知っている彼と違っていて少し驚いた。

Look Back (2024)

Look Back. An Japanese animation film. Directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama. An adaptation of the comic book with the same name portrayed by Tatsuki Fujimoto.

High school students, Fujino and Kyomoto, concentrated to portray manga, slept together in Fujino's room running out of their energy, awaked and concentrated to do it again. Friendship, love and a bond between them had budded over manga since they met. The film tells a sad but heartwarming story of the two young woman who kept on connecting with each other in their hearts.

Hearing that it was very popular, I watched it in a theater, however, it did not leave a deep impression on me because the two girl's world was far away for a middle-aged man like me. All the same, the ending touched me. Life goes on.

After that I came to want to see Blue Period which depicts young people feeling enthusiastic about painting pictures.

ルックバック（2024）

『ルックバック』。 アニメーション映画。押山清高監督作。原作は藤本タツキ。

一心不乱に漫画を描き続け力尽きたら雑魚寝して目が覚めたらまた描き続けた高校生の藤野と京本。絵を通じて出会って生まれた友情、絆、愛。いつまでも心のどこかで繋がり続けていた二人の哀しくも微笑ましい物語。

大評判だったので観覧したが、おっさんの私には女の子たちの青春は少し遠かったため、心までは響かず。それでも、ラストは沁みた。人生は続く。

そして、観覧後、絵を描くことに情熱を燃やす若者たちが描かれている『ブルーピリオド』を観る気になった。

Now You See Me (2013)

Now You See Me. An American mystery drama film. Directed by Louis Leterrier. Starring Jesse Eisenberg.

The story depicts the activities of four great magicians who are instructed by someone and do magic tricks as a team.

Mentalism relies on psychology, so I am intrigued with it, however, I do not want to penetrate the tricks in a magic show, though I think of magic tricks as intelligent and wonderful. I, moreover, regarded watching magic as a waste of time. A magic show is hold only to show how superb the magic tricks are. Unlike even a sports game, it has no human drama unless the magician is extraordinary.

The movie was stylish and good as a mystery one, however, I did not like it because I did not like magic so much.

グランド・イリュージョン（2013）

『グランド・イリュージョン』。アメリカのミステリー・ドラマ映画。ルイ・ルリエ監督作。主演はジェシー・アイゼンバーグ。

４人の名マジシャンが何者かの指示を受けてチームとしてマジックを繰り広げるお話。

メンタリズムは心理学でもあるので興味はあるが、マジックを見ていると、知的で凄いとは思うもののそのトリックを見破ろうとする気にはなれない。無駄な時間に思えてしまう。マジック・ショーは、そのマジックの素晴らしさを披露するためだけのもので、よほどのマジシャンではない限り、スポーツ観戦とも違って人間ドラマを感じられない。

本作はスタイリッシュでなかなかのミステリーだったが、マジックが好きではないため、それほど好きにはなれなかった。

The Scoop (2024)

The Scoop. A Japanese coming-of-age film. Directed by Keiichi Kobayashi.

Hibiki starring Yurina Hirate, an idol, in 2018 was so good that I had high expectations for the film but I often fought off sleepiness because the acting of Karin Fujiyoshi, who is the lead and a member of the idol group, Sakurazaka Forty-six, was not poor but too ordinary to awaken, though Akari Takaishi, my favorite actor, was brilliant. I loved to watch her, especially in the scene where she confronts Masanobu Takashima.

The development of the last part was really exciting more than expected. The catharsis was amazing. After seeing it, I thought that I wanted to do it again.

The star's performance was flat until the end, so I think that an idol should not easily be selected for the leading role but I hope that she will keep on trying to play hard from now on, for my favorite actors, Rina Kawaei and Mai Fukagawa had been idols for some years.

新米記者トロッ子（2024）

『新米記者トロッ子 私がやらねば誰がやる！』。日本の青春映画。小林啓一監督作。

アイドルの平手友梨奈が主演した『響 -HIBIKI-』（2018年作）がとてもよかったので期待して本作を観てみたが、主演で櫻坂46のメンバー藤吉夏鈴の演技は、特に下手とは思わなかったものの、あまりにも普通過ぎたので眠気との戦いとなった。だが、お目当てだった高石あかりは輝いていた。特に高嶋政伸との対決は観応えがあった。

終盤は想像を超えた怒涛の展開で面白かった。カタルシスがえぐかった。観終わった後にもう一回観たいと思った。

藤吉夏鈴は最後まで低調で、やはり、アイドルを安易に主演させるのは問題があるなと思った。しかし、川栄李奈や深川麻衣といった私が好きな役者さんも元アイドルでもあるので今後も頑張って頂きたい。

Brain on Fire (2016)

Brain on Fire. A Canada-Ireland-U.S. co-production drama film. Directed by Gerard Barrett. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz.

The story depicts a young woman who suddenly suffers from a mysterious phenomenon and even has an attack of something.

I just think that it could not be helped because they are all idiots when I am mentally suffering but am not understood by people around me, however, I would despair when I am physically suffering by something of unknown origin but I am not done. The lead, Chloë Grace Moretz, gave an enthusiastic performance as a sufferer in such situation. She is always really pretty playing any role.

I was reminded of the film watching the protagonist getting overwhelmed when nobody believed in her words in Smile.

彼女が目覚めるその日まで（2016）

『彼女が目覚めるその日まで』。カナダ、アイルランド、アメリカの合作ドラマ映画。ジェラルド・バレット監督作。主演はクロエ・グレース・モレッツ。

突然謎の症状に苦しみ始めて何かの発作まで起こしてしまった若い女性の物語。

精神的な苦しみだったら、誰にも信じてもらえない時は、「こいつら馬鹿だからな」と思えば済む話だが、原因不明の何かに脳や体が苦しめられている時にその苦しみを誰にも分かってもらえないと絶望するだろう。そんな様を主演のクロエ・グレース・モレッツがチャーミングに熱演。彼女は本当に何をやっても可愛らしい。

自分の話を誰も信じてくれず途方に暮れる『SMILE/スマイル』の主人公を観て本作を思い出した。

Fallen (1998)

Fallen. An American horror movie. Directed by Gregory Hoblit. Starring Denzel Washington.

The story depicts an invisible devil possessing a human.

Unlike Smile, it was not complicated, so it was frightening. Possessing the human mind is really terrible. I believe that people might recognize visible things like monsters and ghosts, however, it is really hard to make them do invisible ones.

My impression of "Time Is on My Side" by The Rolling Stones changed after watching it. What will that cat do? I like to watch the sequel if it is filmed.

悪魔を憐れむ歌（1998）

『悪魔を憐れむ歌』。ホラー映画。グレゴリー・ホブリット監督作。主演はデンゼル・ワシントン。

目に見えない悪魔が人に乗り移るお話。

『SMILE/スマイル』と似ているが、本作はそれほど複雑でもないのですごく怖かった。心に憑りつかれるのは本当に恐ろしい。目に見える妖怪や霊は分かってもられるかもしれないが、目に見えないものを誰かに信じてもらうのは本当に難しいと思う。

ローリング・ストーンズの「タイム・イズ・オン・マイ・サイド」の印象が本作の観賞後に変わった。あの猫はあの後どうなったんだろう。続編があったら観てみたい。

Smile (2022)

Smile. An American horror film. Directed by Parker Finn. Starring Sosie Bacon.

I feared the way something like feelings of hatred, execration and a curse possessed the minds of persons, however, the story became complicated halfway, which lost my concentration. Why on earth does it at all need to depict the trauma that the protagonist has had since she was little? I felt that the fear decreases as the story gets complex in a horror movie. I even thought that only horror movie fans and highly intelligent persons could enjoy the tale.

After watching it, I knew that the lead, Sosie Bacon, is Kevin Bacon's daughter. I was surprised at it, moreover, I was frustrated that I could not notice it because I am a fan of Kevin.

スマイル（2022）

『SMILE/スマイル』。アメリカのホラー映画。パーカー・フィン監督作。主演はソシー・ベーコン。

人の強い念や呪いや祟りのようなものが人の心に乗り移った様が怖かった。だが、途中から複雑になってきてついていけなくなった。そもそも、主人公の子供の頃からのトラウマの描写は必要だったのだろうか。ホラーは複雑になるにつれて恐ろしさが減る、と感じた。これはホラー好きか知能が高い人しか楽しめないのでは、とすら思った。

観賞後に主演のソシー・ベーコンがケビン・ベーコンの娘だと知って驚いた。彼のファンだっただけに気づけなくて悔しかった。

Who is That Girl? (2024)

Who is That Girl? A Japanese horror movie. Directed by Takashi Shimzu. Starring Nagisa Shibuya.

For the first time I watched a J-horror movie in a theater. I had thought that I would be scared of watching it in it far more than in my room alone, however, it was the other way around. I was far less done with people even if they are strangers than with nobody. I would be most scared of doing it late at night in my room without light. I usually see a horror movie in the daytime and in the evening in my lit room.

I was disappointed at some of the bit players with poor acting skills, who tend to appear in B movies. It does not happen in films only with good actors. Nagisa Shibuya first starred and relatively gave a good performance in it. I believe that her acting must be irresistible to fans of her. Although I had not liked her at all, yet I almost came to like her a little. Then the ending was shocking. Overall, it was entertaining. I knew the reason why it is having a long run.

あのコはだぁれ？（2024）

『あのコはだぁれ？』。日本のホラー。清水崇監督作。主演は渋谷凪咲。

Ｊホラーを初めて映画館で観賞。怖さは自分の部屋で観るよりも倍増するかな、と思ったが、逆だった。見ず知らずの他人でも、一緒に観ている人がいるのといないのとでは全然違う。夜遅くに一人で部屋の電気を消して観るのが一番怖いのだろう。日頃からホラーを観る時は常に昼か夜でも早い時間に部屋を明るくして観ることにしている。

Ｂ級映画にありがちな端役の演技の拙さに白けてしまった。やはり、演技の上手い役者たちばかりの作品とは違う。それでも、映画初主演の渋谷凪咲は初めての割には好演していたと思う。彼女のファンには堪らない作品だろう。私も、全く好きではなかったが、少し好きになりかけた。そして、ラストが衝撃的。総合的にも面白かった。ロングランの理由も分かった。

Desperate Hours (1990)

Desperate Hours. An American action thriller film. Directed by Michael Chimino. Starring Mickey Rourke.

Anthony Hopkins acted in it. His role was an ordinary middle-aged man who was completely different from Dr. Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs which was released in the next year. Then I felt that the 1990 film was dated, unliked the Oscar winner. Mickey Rourke was sexy and awesome, though.

逃亡者（1990）

 『逃亡者』。アメリカのアクション・スリラー映画。マイケル・チミノ監督作。主演はミッキー・ローク。

アンソニー・ホプキンスも出演。翌年の『羊たちの沈黙』でのレスター博士役とは全く違って冴えないおじさん役だ。作品としても、あのアカデミー受賞作品と違って古臭く感じた。だが、ミッキー・ロークはセクシーでカッコよかった。

The Inugami Family (1976)

The Inugami Family. A Japanese mystery film. Directed by Kon Ichikawa. Starring Koji Ishizaka. Based on the book with the same name written by Seishi Yokomizo.

The movie is not disgusting but makes me gloomy.

Mieko Takamine was beautiful, especially in the climax part. She had a sultry expression on the face. She then was in her late fifties. What a marvelous lady! She was far prettier than the young Yoko Shimada.

Mitsuko Kusabue appeared in it. She then was in her early forties and was exuding presence. At present she was 90 years old and starred in 90 Years Old – So What? that was released this year. What a perennial actor!

Kosuke Kindaichi, the protagonist, have a lot of dandruff. I did it too in my school days, however, it dwindled as my hair got thin. I got old.

犬神家の一族（1976）

『犬神家の一族』。日本のミステリー・ドラマ映画。市川崑監督作。主演は石坂浩二。原作は横溝正史の小説。

胸糞というほどではないが、気分が重くなる作品。

高峰三枝子が、特にクライマックスの場面で綺麗だった。その不敵な面構えに色気が漂っていた。公開時50代後半。凄い。若い島田陽子よりも断然綺麗だった。

草笛光子も出演。公開当時は40代前半。抜群の存在感だった。そして、現在は90歳。今年公開された『九十歳。何がめでたい』にも主演している。とても息の長い役者さんだ。

頭のふけが多い金田一耕助。私も学生時代は多かったが、髪が薄くなるにつれて減っていった。年を取った。

No Way Out (1987)

No Way Out. An American action thriller film. Directed by Roger Donaldson. Starring Kevin Costner.

Kevin Costner co-stars with Gene Hackman in the movie, so I watched it, however, the thrilling story was more entertaining than their acting. Then the last part amazed me. Sorry to say, I felt that it was dated, unlike The Untouchables which was released in the same year.

Costner in a white officer uniform was odd to me. I like him wearing a suit who appears in JFK and Thirteen Days. 

追い詰められて（1987）

『追い詰められて』。アメリカのアクション・スリラー映画。ロジャー・ドナルドソン監督作。主演はケビン・コスナー。

ケビン・コスナーとジーン・ハックマンが共演しているので観てみたが、彼らの演技というよりスリラー映画として魅せられた。そして、最後にちょっとした驚きが待っていた。残念ながら、作品自体は同年に公開された『アンタッチャブル』と違って古く感じた。

コスナーの白い軍服に違和感。『JFK』や『13デイズ』の時のようなスーツ姿の方が好きだ。

Ring (1998)

Ring. A Japanese horror movie. Directed by Hideo Nakata. Starring Nanako Matsushima. Hiroyuki Sanada acted in it.

Since my childhood I had had a dread of horror movies because I tend to be easily scared. I told the people around me that I did not have the reason why I see movies that are not enjoyable but horrible, though I was just afraid of them in fact. Moreover, I did not like grotesque scenes, however, I did no longer mind grotesque ones thanks to One Cut of the Dead. Thinking carefully, it is natural that the ones are made artificially. Anyway, the 2017 movie concretely showed me that grotesque things were artificial, so I have borne seeing the ones since then. Also, I have begun gradually seeing horror movies because of this hot summer.

I first watched the 1998 film that was released a quarter of a century ago. Beforehand a friend who loved horror ones told me that although the movie was horrible being release, yet it might be not and it might become dated at the present time, for the blockbuster should had influenced a lot of moving pictures and dramas which I might have already seen. I was startled several times but I did not feel with fear so much as expected. Most people had said that it was horrible since it was released, so I was disappointed thinking that rumors are unreliable.

I felt that the famous scene was like a conte watching Hiroyuki Sanada frightening.

Unreal and imaginary ghosts are not horrible so much. I am just shocked at the sound effects and awful scenes.

リング（1998）

『リング』。日本のホラー。中田秀夫監督作。主演は松嶋菜々子。真田広之出演。

子供の頃からビビり症なのでホラーは苦手だった。ただ怖がっているだけのくせに、楽しくもない怖いだけの映画を観る理由が無い、と周りには言っていた。また、そのグロさも苦手だった。だが、そのグロさへの苦手意識は『カメラを止めるな！』が解消してくれた。よく考えれば当たり前の話なのだが、グロい映像は作り物である、ということを具体的に知れて、それ以降は割とグロさにも耐えられるようになった。そして、暑さのせいもあり、今夏はホラー映画を徐々に観始めた。

四半世紀以上も前の本作を初観賞。ホラー好きの友人には、いろんな作品に影響を与えているヒット作なので、公開時はとても怖かったけど、今だったら既視感もあったりして古臭く感じるかも、と言われていたが、案の定、数回ビビらされただけでそれほど怖くは無かった。公開された当時は誰もが怖いと言っていたので、こんなものか、と拍子抜けした。

あの有名なシーンは、恐れおののく真田広之を観ながら、まるでコントだな、と思った。

リアルには感じられない想像上の霊にそれほど怖さは無い。効果音や恐ろし気な映像に一時的にビビッてしまうだけだ。

Hereditary (2018)

Hereditary. An American horror movie. Directed by Ari Aster. Starring Toni Collette.

Hearing that it was one of the greatest horror movies, I had had a high expectation, however, although I was startled several times, yet it just left me an eerie impression on the whole. I could not help wryly smiling at a ceremony when it suddenly started, moreover, I felt that the more the characters appear, the less frightening the horror one is. So did I when seeing It Comes. 

The frightening and despairing expression of the protagonist with mental illness made me feel eerie the most.

Ari Aster made his debut with it as a director. His second film is Midsommar. I saw it because I wanted to watch my favorite actor Florence Pugh, however, overall, it was just spooky like his first one, so I did not like it. He and I might not go together.

へレディタリー（2018）

『ヘレディタリー／継承』。アメリカのホラー。アリ・アスター監督作。トニ・コレット主演。

ホラーの傑作と聞いていたので期待していたが、数回ビビらされるも、概ね薄気味が悪かっただけの印象。唐突に始まった儀式には苦笑いしてしまった。そして、『来る』でも感じたが、ホラーの登場人物は大勢だと怖さは半減すると感じた。

一番薄気味悪かったのは、精神的に病んでいる主人公の怯えと絶望が入り混じった表情。

アリ・アスターは本作で監督デビュー。２作目『ミッドサマー』は、フローレンス・ピュー見たさに観たが、本作同様、概ね薄気味悪いだけでさほど怖くも無く好きにもなれなかった。彼と私は相性が悪いようだ。

In Those Days (2021)

In Those Days. A Japanese drama film. Directed by Rikiya Imaizumi. Starring Tohri Matsuzaka.

It depicts the youth of the men loving female idols.

I like idols but I do not love them, unlike the main characters. Anyway, the men were weird. After seeing it, I knew that it was based on a true story. I could not believe that right away. Still, I did not come to like it.

I did not like Ayaya, however, Rika Ishikawa was really pretty in her retirement ceremony. It brought back memories, which was the only thing that charmed me.

あの頃。（2021）

『あの頃。』。日本のドラマ映画。今泉力哉監督作。松阪桃李主演。

アイドルファンの青年たちの青春が描かれている。

アイドルは嫌いではないが、本作の主人公たちほど好きでもない。それにしても変な奴らだった。観賞後、実話を基にして撮影されたと知った時は、にわかには信じられなかった。作品もそれほど好きになれず。

あややは好きではなかったが、引退式の石川梨華は綺麗だった。懐かしかった。それだけが救いだった。

Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)

Deadpool & Wolverine. An American superhero movie. Directed by Shawn Levy.

Deadpool was amusing, however, I believed that Logan should have been the last story of Wolverine. The 2024 movie often bored me because I was not familiar with the X-Men and Avengers. Moreover, the setting for the  organization controlling the multiverse seemed to be in a comic book too much. I also was never interested in the feud between the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation and The Walt Disney Company. The movie left me a lot of negative impression.  

デッドプール＆ウィルヴァリン（2024）

 『デッドプール＆ウィルヴァリン』。アメリカのスーパーヒーロー映画。ショーン・レヴィ監督作。

デッドポールは可笑しかったが、ウィルヴァリンは『ローガン』で終わりで良かったと思う。X-MENやアベンジャーズに詳しくないのでよく分からない話が多くて白けてしまった。それに、マルチバースを管理する機関があるなんて漫画すぎる。20世紀FOXとディズニーの間の確執にも興味が無い。愚痴っぽい感想が多めの観賞となった。

It Comes (2018)

It Comes. A Japanese horror movie. Directed by Tetsuya Nakajima.

Being a coward, I was scared of it a little until halfway. I desperately reminded myself that that was a kind of fantasy. I watched it in my lit room but I became scared of going to the bathroom halfway. However, when the story's scale expanded, I thought that something like a festival started in it and I gradually became not scared. Instead, I felt uncomfortable about how creepy the psychic combat between the ghost and spiritualists was.  

Although Junichi Okada starred it, yet Satoshi Tsumabuki playing a cheerful idiot and Takako Matsu doing a dignified spiritualist left me a impression.

来る（2018）

『来る』。ホラー映画。中島哲也監督作。

途中まで、ビビり症の私には少し怖くて、これは一種のファンタジーだ、と必死に自分に言い聞かせていた。明るい部屋での観賞だったが、途中でトイレに行くのが怖くなった。しかし、スケールの大きな話になってきてからはお祭りのような感じがして徐々に怖くなくなってきた。それでも、霊と霊能者たちの超能力対決のおどろおどろしさには気分が悪くなった。

主演は岡田准一らしいが、明るいクズを演じた妻夫木聡と凛とした松たか子が印象に残った。

Deadpool (2016)

Deadpool. An American superhero movie. Directed by Tim Miller.

There are many grotesque scenes in it. The tempo is comfortable, moreover, the lines are amusing. Although I had gradually started to detached myself from superhero movies, yet I happened to sight a superhero who might be my most favorite. I never like a goody-goody person and do not like a vicious one. A superhero like Deadpool is the right one for me.

I did not like Ryan Reynolds so much, however, I love the actor playing Deadpool. I do the sequel directed by David Leitch too.

グロい場面多めだが、テンポがよくてセリフも面白い。スーパーヒーロー物とは距離を置き始めていたが、一番好きになれそうなヒーローにたまたま出会えた。良い子ちゃんは嫌いだし悪すぎるのもすきではない。デッドプールぐらいがちょうどいい。

主演のライアン・レイノルズはあまり好きではなかったが、デッドプールを演じる彼は好きだ。デヴィッド・リーチ監督作の続編も面白かった。

Dark Water (2002)

Dark Water. A Japanese horror movie. Directed by Hideo Nakata. Starring Hitomi Kuroki.

I had thought that ghosts exist in a different dimension with no their legs, so I felt odd with a girl ghost being able to directly touch things in the movie. Then I talked about how I felt with it to a colleague loving horror ones. She said that they are strongest and can use psychokinesis and telepathy. Thinking that way, I can understand paranormal events in it and the movie It based on the book with the same name written by Stephen King. The horror ones are gloomy fantasy fictions.

I was frightened by the tremblingly astonished face of Hitomi Kuroki the most. I will be really scared of someone with such face next to me.

仄暗い水の底から（2002）

『仄暗い水の底から』。日本のホラー。中田秀夫監督作。黒木瞳主演。

幽霊は別次元に存在していて足が無い、と思っていた。だから、本作で現世に存在している物を直接触ったりできる女の子の幽霊には違和感を覚えた。その事をホラー好きの同僚に話すと、映画の霊は念力やらテレパシーやらが使えて最強なんだ、と言っていた。そう考えれば、本作とスティーブン・キングの『IT』の超常現象も理解できる。ホラーは陰気なファンタジーなんだな。

最も怖かったのは、黒木瞳の驚きおののいた表情。誰かに隣であんな顔をされたらマジでビビる。

Logan (2017)

Logan. An American superhero film. Directed by James Mangold. Starring Hugh Jackman.

In the film X-Men I firstly saw Wolverine. Knowing the director of Bohemian Rhapsody is the same as the one, I watched it but I thought that Wolverine with six blades popping out from his fists was too comic and was disappointed. However, I heard that the newest one of the series was released and very popular. I wanted to watch it and did X-Men Origins: Wolverine in preparation for doing but I did not like it, so I thought whether to do the latest one or not was up to how entertaining was the 2017 film.

I like the film. Although Logan was immortal when he was young and became to be more stronger thanks to scientists, yet his body was gradually deteriorated at the cost of that. The life of Lowan saddened me.

ローガン（2017）

 『LOGAN/ローガン』。アメリカのスーパーヒーロー映画。ジェームズ・マンゴールド監督作。主演はヒュー・ジャックマン。

ウルヴァリンを初めて観たのは『X-メン』。当時大好きだった『ボヘミアン・ラプソディ』の監督がその作品も監督していたと知り観賞するも、両拳から長い刃物が６本も出てくる彼の漫画すぎる設定に幻滅した。だが、公開されたシリーズ最新作の『デッドプール＆ウルヴァリン』が好評であると知りそれを観たくなった。そして、その準備のためにまず『ウルヴァリン：X-MEN ZERO』を観るも好きになれず、そのため、本作『ローガン』の面白さ次第で最新作を観るかどうか決めることにした。

面白かった。若い頃から不死身で科学者たちによってさらに強化され、その代償で体がボロボロになっていったローガンの生き様が哀しい。

Not Quite Dead Yet (2020)

Not Quite Dead Yet. A Japanese comedy. Directed by Shinji Hamasaki.

Knowing that a gentle colleague was into Death Metal like Aggressive Retsuko, I watched the film, whose protagonist is the vocalist of a death metal band, hoping that it would become a topic of conversation, however, it never amused me even if it is a comedy and Shinichi Tsutsumi and Ryo Yoshizawa acted in it. Due to that, I could not gain altitude when I was talking with her about it. The lead, Suzu Hirose was really cute, though. Especially, her high-kicking was fantastic.

一度死んでみた（2020）

 『一度死んでみた』。日本のコメディ映画。浜崎慎治監督作。

おとなしめな若い同僚がアグレッシブ烈子みたいにデスメタルを好きだと知り、彼女との話の種にと思って主人公がデスメタルバンドのヴォーカリストである本作を観賞。だが、コメディなのに堤真一と吉沢亮も出ていたのに面白くなかった。肝心の彼女との会話も盛り上がらず。ただ、主演の広瀬すずは可愛らしかった。彼女のハイキックも最高だった。

The Family (2013)

The Family. A French comedy film. The language is English. Directed by Luc Besson.

The story depicts a family entering the FBI witness protection program, the FBI agents supervising the family and the Mafia seeking a traitor to themselves in a frenzy.

Each of the family member is not a nobody and is too tough to lose, which amused me. The family of four is perfectly strong. Robert De Niro played the father and the traitor. He seemed to be used to doing the rogue. He had done the roles of various criminals. As opposed to De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones had done the ones of men standing on the side of justice. He looked cool as the FBI agent. The two stars appearing together entertained me. Moreover, the two characters watch Goodfellas at a theater in a small town in France. The scene was really funny. Then, the face of Martin Scorsese, the director of the crime film, came to mind, so I was almost going to forget that it was directed by Luc Besson. It was filled with a sense of fun.

マラヴィータ（2013）

 『マラヴィータ』。コメディ映画。言語は英語のフランス作品。リュック・ベッソン監督作。

FBIの証人保護プログラムが適用された家族とそれを護衛するFBI捜査官とその裏切り者を血眼になって探すマフィアたちの物語。

その家族の４人がそれぞれ強すぎて可笑しい。雑魚が一人もいない最強の家族だ。その父でマフィアを裏切った男を演じているのがロバート・デ・ニーロ。数々の犯罪者を演じてきたのでそのならず者役が本当に様になっていた。対照的に、正義の味方のような役を多くこなしてきたトミー・リー・ジョーンズはそのFBI捜査官役がよく似合っていた。その２人の共演が面白い。そして、そんな二人がフランスの小さな街で『グッドフェローズ』を観ている場面が可笑しかった。そのクライム映画の監督マーティン・スコセッシの顔がちらちら頭に浮かび、本作の監督がリュック・ベッソンだったことを忘れてしまいそうだった。遊び心満載の作品だ。

Liverleaf (2018)

Liverleaf. A Japanese horror movie. Directed by Eisuke Naito. Starring Anna Yamada.

Some Insidious bullying, a temporary solace and arson happen. Then, an incident made me feel catharsis, however, after that, ghoulish things happen one after another, which made me feel that it was too much and dissolve in giggles. I felt that the story lacks reality and that the direction goes too far. I even did that the film is like a comedy. Horror movie fans could enjoy it. I just feasted my eyes on the star, Anna Yamada, who I was a big fan of.

ミスミソウ（2018）

 『ミスミソウ』。日本のホラー映画。内藤瑛亮監督作。主演は山田杏奈。

陰湿な虐め。ひと時の癒し。放火。その後の事件でカタルシスを覚えたが、さらなる猟奇的な展開に、詰め込みすぎだろ！と笑ってしまった。リアルさに欠けた。やりすぎだと思った。コメディにすら感じた。ホラー映画ファンには楽しめる作品だろう。お目当ての山田杏奈は眼福だった。

Cape Fear (1991)

Cape Fear. An American psychological thriller film. Directed by Martin Scorsese.

Robert De Niro played the role of Max, who gave off an aura of fear at the beginning leaving prison. I shivered watching he persistently assaulting the family of the lawyer who once betrayed him. De Niro in The Fan I did recently was terrible but he in the film was more horrible and had a muscular body. Furthermore, somehow, I had a fascination for Jessica Lange.

If you hold on to the past, you die a little each day. That is right.

The film is a remake of one with the same name in 1962. The leads, Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck, appeared in it again.

ケープ・フィアー（1991）

『ケープ・フィアー』。アメリカのサイコスリラー映画。マーティン・スコセッシ監督作。

冒頭の刑務所から出所する時から恐ろしい雰囲気を漂わせている、ロバート・デ・ニーロ演じるマックス。彼を裏切った弁護士とその家族を執拗につけ狙う様には寒気がした。先日観た『ザ・ファン』の彼も怖かったが、本作の彼はより恐ろしくて体つきもキレキレだ。また、今回は色気漂うジェシカ・ラングにもなぜか魅せられた。

過去に執着するのは毎日少しずつ死んでいくのと同じ。正にその通りだな。

1962年に公開された『恐怖の岬』のリメイク。主演のロバート・ミッチャムとグレゴリー・ペックも本作に出演している。

King Richard (2021)

King Richard. An American biographical film. It depicts half the life of the father of tennis players, the Williams sisters.

Will Smith usually acts the role of a handsome guy, however, he performed a middle-aged man in it and won the Oscar for Best Actor in a leading role. I suspect that he, in fact, would like to play a very human role like the one in this movie. I remember that he said in a self-mocking way several years ago that he liked to play rap music but he could earn money as an actor more. Although he is a superstar, yet he must have a lot of other things that do not go the way he wants. He got angry at and smacked the host of the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony, Chris Tucker, who made a ridiculous joke about Smith's wife. Smith was said that he slapped the cheek of Tucker in the internet even though he seemed to do not the face but the chest no matter how many times I watched the images. I believe that violence is wrong but I cannot tolerate the misinformation.  

In the variety program, Sanma's Improvement Committee for Comedians, Tomonori Jinnai got furious at Nagano who jokingly insulted not only Jinnai but also the stage stuff of Jinnai's comedy show. Jinnai chased him during the taping of the program, moreover, he jumped on top of and yelled at Nagano, which came to an issue. He could not make the event like a comic skit and was regarded as a violent man. Several days later he explained that he was like Will Smith who stood up for his wife and got angry.

What should we do if we meet a person who we can never forgive ethically and emotionally.

ドリームプラン（2021）

 『ドリームプラン』。プロテニス選手ウィリアムズ姉妹の父親リチャードの生き様が描かれた、アメリカの伝記映画。

ハンサムな役が多いウィル・スミスが気難しい中年男性を演じてアカデミー主演男優賞を受賞。彼自身は実際には本作のような人間臭い役をもっと演じたいのではなかろうか。以前、本当は俳優よりもラッパーをやりたいけど映画の方が儲かるんだ、みたいな事を自嘲気味に言っていたことが思い出される。あれだけの大スターでも自分の思い通りにならない事が他にもまだたくさんあるんだろうな。そんな彼が、オスカーの授賞式で自分の妻を揶揄された事に怒ってそのきわどいジョークを言ったクリス・タッカーに暴行を加えた。ただ、今観返しても、顔ではなく胸を平手打ちしただけにしか見えないが、ネット上では、タッカーは頬を引っ叩かれたことになっている。叩くこと自体がいけない事だとは思うが何だか釈然としない。

バラエティ番組『さんまのお笑い向上委員会』で陣内智則が、自分だけならともかく彼の舞台のスタッフをも馬鹿にされたことに怒って、テレビの収録中にもかかわらず、その暴言を吐いた永野を追い回した挙げ句に馬乗りになって怒鳴りつけた事が最近話題になった。コメディっぽくすることが出来ずに世間から暴力的な男とみなされた彼は、後日、あれは妻の為に怒ったあの時のウィル・スミスみたいなものだ、と弁明していた。

倫理的にも感情的にもどうしても許せない相手が現れたら、どうすればいいのだろう。

Focus (2015)

Focus. An American crime drama film. Directed by Glenn Ficarra. Starring Will Smith.

When it comes to fraud movies, Sting is still the best. The Ocean's series are amazing but too sophisticated and complicated.

The fraud story of the 2015 film was entertaining but was so absurd that I felt that it will never succeed. The movie might be good as a romantic comedy, all the same, the story was scarcely realistic, moreover, the gimmicks always disappointed me. However, only the beauty of Margot Robbie left a strong impression. She was not my type but she was an angel wearing the sexy clothes. I saw Babylon and Barbie because of not the themes but the bewitchingly pretty Margot. The enchanting stunner reminds me of Kim Basinger.

フォーカス（2015）

 『フォーカス』。アメリカのクライム映画。グレン・フィカーラ監督作。ウィル・スミス主演。

詐欺師の映画と言えば『スティング』。これが未だに最高だ。『オーシャンズ』シリーズは面白いがお洒落すぎるし複雑すぎる。

本作の詐欺師たちのお話は、面白かったが、そんなにうまくいくはずないだろ！と言いたくなるほどばかげていた。ロマンティックコメディとしては良いのかもしれないが、全くリアルに感じられない物語で話のオチにも度々がっかりさせられた。ただ、マーゴット・ロビーの美しさだけは記憶に強烈に残った。好きなタイプではないのにセクシーな服を着る彼女は正に天使だった。『バビロン』や『バービー』もお目当ては作品のテーマというよりも麗しくて妖艶な彼女だった。キム・ベイシンガーを思い出す妖艶さだ。

Poor Things (2024)

Poor Things. A Ireland-U.K.-U.S. co-production drama film. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos

Watching Emma Stone pretending to have sex and crying out like a beast which made me do not feel erotic at all, I remembered that a pornography director said that they film videos which men use when they masturbate. It means that I have gotten used to watching pornographic stars who not show their sexual attractive but just act to make men lust when the directors are filming them. Stone acted a woman who earnestly indulges in pleasure regardless of men. Generally, not a few women might only fake an orgasm like Meg Ryan doing in When Harry Met Sally...

In the film the protagonist worked at a brothel. At first, I felt odd. Thinking it over, however, I did that it was strange that although a lot of men paid for prostitutes to have sex with them, yet only prostitutes are thought of as dirty. I strongly did it when I saw a gentleman bring his two sons to the brothel in order to make them have sex for the first time. I do not think prostitution as sacred but I do prostitutes are extremely regarded as disgusting and despised because the world is male-oriented. The movie made me realize such thing.

As for sex trade shops, when I told a lady friend of mine that I was afraid of sexual diseases if I go to the shop, she insisted that common women more possibly can have the diseases than female workers in the sex industry because thanks to the instructions of their shops, the workers have physical checkups more than the woman. Maybe she is right.

The motion picture, as well as Barbie starring Margot Robbie and released in 2023, is praised as feminist ones. Both of them are too fantasy, so I do not like them but I love Emma and Margot. 

哀れなるものたち（2024）

 『哀れなるものたち』。アイルランド、英国、米国合作のドラマ映画。ヨルゴス・ランティモス監督作。

エマ・ストーンのセックスをしている時の全くエロく感じない野獣じみた絶叫を観て、アダルトビデオの監督が、我々は男のオナニーのための映像を撮影している、と言っていたのを思い出した。私が見慣れている彼らが撮影したセクシー女優たちは色気をふりまいているというよりも男をその気にさせる演技をしているということなのだろう。そして、ストーンが演じていたのは男の目を意識せずにひたすら己の快楽に浸っている女。世間では『恋人たちの予感』のメグ・ライアンみたいに感じているふりをしているだけの女性も少なくないんだろうな。

本作では主人公が売春宿で働き始める。初めは違和感を覚えたが、よくよく考えると、世話になっている男たちはたくさんいるのにお金で彼らの相手をしているだけの売春婦だけが穢れていると思われているのはやはりおかしい。初体験をさせようと二人の息子を連れてきた紳士を観てますますそう感じた。神聖な職業とまでは思わないが、極端に売春婦たちが汚らわしいと蔑まれるのは社会が男性優位だからだろう。そんな事を気づかせてくれた作品だった。

風俗店に関して言えば、以前、病気が怖いから行きたくない、と女友だちに言った時、彼女は、風俗嬢よりも男と寝ている普通の女はたくさんいる、むしろ、病気を持っている可能性が高いのは風俗嬢ではなく普通の女たちの方だ、風俗嬢は店からの指示で普通の女たち以上に健康診断を受けている、と力説していた。多分本当なのだろう。

2023年公開のマーゴット・ロビー主演作『バービー』と同様にフェミニズムの映画として絶賛されている本作だが、両作とも私にはファンタジーが過ぎたので作品としては好きになれなかった。しかし、主演俳優はどちらも大好きだ。
