Skyfall

In October 2021, I watched Skyfall for the first time on the television set. I have occasionally done it since then. The spy action film was released in 2012. It is the third one starring Daniel Craig in the 007 series.

It tells a story of M, the chief of MI6. She is attacked by the villains who have stolen a personal computer's hard drive including the data on NATO agents infiltrating into terrorist groups across the world.

M makes a cruel decision from the beginning. As a result, James Bond is shot by his colleague, falls from a height and disappears. He miraculously survives but remain hidden, however, he goes to meet M and returns to his job after knowing that the headquarters of MI6 was exploded. The boss of the villains is too persistent to stop from assaulting M, so Bond shelters her in his family home called Skyfall Lodge and in the mansion he prepares to fight back against their enemies who persistently tries to kill her.

The James Bond film is filled with full-fledged action scenes. Even M holds a gun herself in the last combat toward the ending. She charmed me when she said, "I never was a good shot."

Judi Dench acted the role of M successively in eight 007 films from GoldenEye. I think that she is the very Bond Girl in Skyfall. Although she is a middle-aged plump lady costarring with two young beautiful women, yet her presence is far more overwhelming than the other ones. Moreover, Dench's M takes dignified attitudes and moves creating an intimidated and composed aura which chicks will not do it. She was also charming about it.

Ralph Fiennes really appears to be a British gentleman. I would never be surprised if he would have acted James Bond in the past. He played the role of a high-ranking British government official who suggests to M that she retires in the 007 movie. Javier Bardem has gained a reputation for the mysterious performance in No Country for Old Men and acted the head of the villains in it. The three supporting actors all have much presence, so Daniel Craig left less impression than the other his 007 flicks, however, the spy action one is good.
