Quantum of Sola

In October 2020, I watched Quantum of Sola for the first time on the television. Since then I have occasionally done the 2008 spy action film. It is also the second one starring Daniel Craig as 007.

The story is the sequel to Casino Royale. James Bond with a license to kill that he got in the previous movie kills the villains, who he had to take alive, one after another, however, he raises his skills as a MI6 agent fighting a fierce battle against his enemies, toward the ending he pays the price for the events with a woman who loved him and he also did in the last one, and he is anew ready to devote himself to engaging in espionage as a merciless spy.

The movie has many full-scale fighting scenes from the beginning to the ending such as running away with a car and a motorboat, flying a plane being attack by a fighter and a helicopter in the sky and combatting the villains at a hotel standing in the desert. Daniel Craig's action was really cool. Then Craig's 007 seemed to be a gentleman toward Camille who acts in coordination with Bond from the middle, for without getting laid he tells her about mental preparation for fighting enemies. Sean Connery and Roger Moore's 007s would have surely had sex with her if they had been the 007.

As for the villains, they were less glamorous and intimidating than Mads Mikkelsen in the last flick and Javier Bardem in the next one. Many people say in the Net that Mathieu Amalric acting one of them is similar to Sadao Abe, a Japanese actor, though I think that he resembles Toru Tezuka. Anyway, the villains had less impact.

The spy film is good as not only an action one but also a human drama one and it is more enjoyable when you view it just after doing Casino Royale.
